Sleep & Athletic

So we all know the importance of sleep, and for an elite athlete it is part of the job

For a world class athlete such as Wilson Kipsang, in training to attempt to break the world marathon record, sleep is very serious business indeed.

So, it is a real measure of the man that during the middle of his Berlin Marathon preparation Wilson joined staff and volunteers from GEF to sleep rough for a night in the ‘House with no walls’. The photos say it all and Wilson (seen trying to sleep in the green sleeping bag) and the other GEF helpers raised enough money to build this family a real home from their efforts that night.

That’s the Wilson Kipsang we know and love. Always putting others first. And this is a great example of the on the ground work GEF are doing and why we are proud to suport them.
